Extra Credit

1.) The man was ran over by the train, the cmera man tryed to stop the train by flashing his camera light and at the same tie he snapped the last few moments of Han's life.
2.) To alert the train to stop.
3.) There's nothing wrong with it , if he could have saved the mans life rather then taking the photos then yes there's a problem.
4.) There was really nothing he could do other than alert the train, that's pretty much all he could do.
5.) I wouldn't do cause that's somebody son, husband, brother, etc i doubt they want him on the front page of the new paper.
6.) As an photographer they have to do both cause that's how they get the best photos.
7.) Yes , because that's what they do , so they have to be involed.
8.) No , cause sometimes people need to see what's going on.
9.) I think they answered s photographers , they didn't really think, like what if it was one of there loved ones i'm pretty sure they wouldn't want to take photos of them dieing.

Fashion Photography Ethics

1.) List the changes that were made to the model's face in the computer. (Look Carefully)2.) Is it ethically acceptable to change a person's appearance like this in a photo? Why or Why not?3.) Are there circumstances in which it would be more ethically wrong to do this type of manipulation?
4.) What types of changes are OK, and what aren't?
5.) Explain what you think the differences are between fashion photography and photojournalism.
6.) What relationship does each type of photography have to reality , and how does this affect the ethical practice of each?

1.) Almost everything was changed , her eyes were made bigger , he neck was alot longer , her lips drop heavily, her face got really thin.
2.) I don't agree with it, it's kinda like an false advertisement leading people on the wrong path which could later on cause them to get depressed.
3.) If they were to change a picture to fit the story it'd be more ethically wrong.
4.) Some types of enhances are okay not all to were it not even the person and it looks like someone totally different.
5.) Photographer that do fashion pretty much use to taking nice photos to help advertise the product or whatever there trying to get out.
6.) That the people see both photos so they see the difference and the change in what there product has done.

Lytro Warm Up

1.)What did you see happen when you clicked on the photo?
2.) How does this camera work?
3.) What do you think a photographer would have to know about to take this kinda photo ( remember it's a point-and-shoot, so it's full of manual mode, what do you need to know about)
4.) Is it worth the money?

1.) When i clicked the photo it zoomed in on the parts i clicked on.
2.) The camera has to focus on the entire picture.
3.) They would need to how to use the camera and how it works. They would also need to know the setting and prefocus, and how to take the picture in manual mode, and all the different functions the camera has.
4.) I think for the big time photographers, it would be worth the money, but otherwise then no it's not!

American Soldier

1a)I chose #77 it seemed to be the most powerful , when the solder comes home and the love ones run back into his hands, thats a joyful & powerful moment and meaning.
1b)
Set #1 (1-9)
Set #2 (10-50)
Set #3 (51-75)
Set #4 (75-83)

Set #2 is more dominant seeing the transformation of the the guy from a man to an ever older man and an army guy.He has to go threw the struggles of leaving his family and going to the army.

1c)All the images worked together to show an timeline on the translation happen , from before he enter the army all the way intil he lefted the army.

3) Present Tense

4) Patiently siting in the chair is Ian , as one of the leader shave his head bald with an electric razor. All of the army members look the same they all have the same hair cut so Ian blends right in no problem during basic draining.

5a) It gives more background to the pictures and the captions are already included.

5b) The video tells everything about each picture ad how it came upon itself. It explains the details that were unknown rather than explaining what was going on at the moment. An example , could be like the pictures that we could see that his parents were divorced   and he was really close to his father as any son would be.

5c)Photos can be a bit better then the video even then the video captures the whole the the pictures show a bit more meaning on the moment , it also create an better view from your stand point.

Photo Manipualation/Ethics

This story is about how people use photoshop (photo manipulation) to get rid of unwanted stuff (people, things, basically anything). Also they use this in other parts of the world were woman aren't as accepted as they are here, to take them out of newspaper articles, anything that may give them some kind of fame. Photo manipulation helps to make photos better looking.
I think this time of photo editing is acceptable because it makes a lot of photos more appealing to our eyes.

I think that this manipulation was the most unethical because this didn't even happen. And the people that were present know it.
I think this picture was the least unethical because even though this wasn't Oprah's actual body, it didn't seem fake, in fact it made the picture quite appealing to the audience. I think this picture is better than others because you would've never assumed that his wasn't her body, it looked real.

National Geo

It kinda looks like the galaxy is being taken away.
Also looks like a huge tornado is about to lay down and wipe out the whole city.

Looks like mufusa off of lion king and he is black and white and really hairy and has grey eyes and he reminds me of cesar off of Planet of the Apes
"NO"

the graphfics are amazing and it's a good photo.
